FILM SHOOTING IN UTTARAKHAND

"Uttarakhand enjoys the boon of natural beauty and resources. The State is known for its picturesque locations and hospitality. To facilitate film shooting in the State, single window clearance system has been implemented allowing all types of clearances required within a timeframe of 3-4 days. Filmmakers in the past have praised the authorities in Uttarakhand for their assistance and have also appreciated cooperation by the local people while shooting. Uttarakhand was awarded most film-friendly State under the 66^th National Film Awards and a special mention for Film Friendly environment by the Government of India in the year 2017. To further promote film shooting, suggestions from filmmakers and experts in the field have been considered during the formulation of the Uttarakhand Film Shooting Policy resulting in the State witnessing a rise in shooting of films, TV series etc. The State of Uttarakhand is committed towards enabling the filmmakers with the required assistance."
